The
MISO: AI & Innovation event occurred on the 17th of November 2022. The digital event bought together the UK Ministry of Defence, Front Line Commands, academic experts and leading industry pioneers to discuss the conversations surrounding AI & Machine Learning in Defence. The event highlighted the UK MoD's Defence AI Strategy with the vision to 'Be the world's most effective, efficient, trusted and influential Defence organisations in the world'.
The morning theme explored
Collaboration and Innovation Throughout the Supply Chain, with a focus on looking at the overlaps between civil and military AI development, the role of ethics and trust in procurement, and the strengthening and resilience of supply chains.
The afternoon theme discussed
End-user application and AI effectiveness on the front-line: Defence is risk-averse, so how can we ensure soldiers on the ground can trust the technology whilst remaining objective and adaptive.
